My granddaughter, Brooke Simmons, since 2 yrs old, loves to run. She has done the Raindeer Run previously and had remembered her time so had a goal for this years run. She brought along a school girl friend. Her mother, Kirsten, needed to stay with Grandma Charlotte as she had a new hip and had to walk. Kirsten told the girls to stay together. As the girls were near the end, Brooke did run ahead. She then sat on some stone steps to wait for Alyssa. Brooke finished just under her 41 minute goal. I’m proud of her for putting her friend’s feelings first.
