We want to grow the Reindeer Fun Run each and every year. In 2010 we added a 10k, the Chick-fil-A Kids Zone and the Blitzen Bash. In 2011, along with a new location, we are adding on the the after party, tailgating, and more charity fundraising opportunities. But, we aren’t yet satisfied. So, we’re thinking… what about a half-marathon? We’d love to hear what you think!

Turkey Trot | Pinehurst

The next Sandhills Race Series event is the FirstHealth Turkey Trot. With a 5k, 10k, 1/2 Marathon, and 1 Mile Fun Run, the 30th Annual Turkey Trot will be held on November 20, with all races starting at FirstHealth Center for Health and Fitness in Pinehurst, NC. Information about the Turkey Trot and other area races can be found at sandhillsracesereis.com.

Sandhills Race Series

The Reindeer Fun Run is excited to be part of the Sandhills Race Series. The fall series will also include Autumnfest (5k), Miles for Mira (5k), and the Turkey Trot (5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon).

Goals of the Sandhills Race Series include:

Increase participation in local races and running-related activities
Coordinate an annual schedule of local races
Offer support and resources for the development and implementation of events that meet safety and professional race management standards
Create a pool of trained, experienced volunteers for local races
