Huge congratulations to Quinn Cameron and Peggy Hendrix for winning the first annual Trident Tricourse Challenge! Both of these athletes inspired us with their dedication to completing this extra special challenge this year, but Peggy—who works at the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills—has a story that is especially inspiring. We’ll let her tell it in her own words:

Reindeer Fun Run! I have been a staff member of the Boys and Girls Club since 2012 and I know the importance of this event to the club. The last few years, I have really let myself go physically. After COVID hit and I started adding those COVID19 pounds, I decided to start walking—aiming for 1 mile of 1 1/2 miles as many times as I could daily each week. When it was decided that the Reindeer Fun Run would be virtual I thought—I can do that, but also thinking that I may have to hit my pause button a couple of times! K2 Cans, Coats and Cash

K2 Solutions Inc. is sponsoring its 2nd annual K2 Cans, Coats, and Cash drive from November 5 through December 7 in partnership with the Reindeer Fun Run event! Help K2 and the Reindeer Fun Run support the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills by stocking their kitchen with non-perishables as well as reaching the target goal of $15,000 to keep the Aberdeen location open through the summer. All coats donated will go to the Moore County Coalition to be distributed to those in need.

Goods will be collected at the Reindeer Fun Run partner sponsor locations of Mellow Mushroom, SportClips and Trident Marketing through all four weeks. Drop off your goods at any of these locations from Nov. 5-Dec. 7 or come visit the K2 Booth (right by Panera!) on race day with cans, coats or cash for these great charities!

Sandhills Race Series | Trident Marketing

Peyton Tochterman will be playing at the Downtown Southern Pines Park on December 4th as part of the Reindeer Fun Run After Party! Thank you to Trident Marketing who is sponsoring the entertainment and Michael Henry for booking Peyton and helping bring great live music to Southern Pines.

Part of the great Charlottesville music scene, Peyton Tochterman and High Society were such a hit when they played First Friday that they were eager to return to Southern Pines for another show. We can’t wait to welcome them!
