Every year we review the Reindeer Fun Run and ask ourselves, "How can we improve?" We think we have a pretty good one this year.
Since the event is getting so big, we need more space at both the start and finish lines for crowds to set up, watch and cheer. To accomplish this, we've made a small course change that adds a cool run along the tracks on Fayetteville and Blue streets. This in turn al...

Reindeer spotted in Southern Pines
As many will remember, several months ago a reindeer was spotted in Pinehurst, North Carolina. It appears that same reindeer has now made his way across town to Southern Pines. While it could be part of a larger heard, the flashy red sneakers do most likely mean this is the same one photographed by a golfer earlier in the year.

This year’s logo?
We know it is early, but believe it or not May is when we usually start sharing the Reindeer Fun Run on event calendars, creating forms, and getting the website updated. And May is just around the corner. But in order to do that, we have to have our logo figured out. We have changed the logo each year, and we want to continue that tradition. We'd love to know what you think we should do to this...

Half Marathon?
We want to grow the Reindeer Fun Run each and every year. In 2010 we added a 10k, the Chick-fil-A Kids Zone and the Blitzen Bash. In 2011, along with a new location, we are adding on the the after party, tailgating, and more charity fundraising opportunities. But, we aren't yet satisfied. So, we're thinking... what about a half-marathon? We'd love to hear what you think!
